MaxMAXWELL BRIAN KELLY (OBE)Sadly passed away at home on 8th June 2026, aged 91 having suffered from a long illness.

Beloved husband of Jan, devoted father, stepfather, grandfather, cherished brother and uncle, and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Thank you to everyone for their kind cards, flowers, messages of sympathy, and support following the family's sad loss.

Max's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the carers, doctors and nurses who looked after him with such kindness and compassion during his illness.

The funeral service will be held at Cheltenham Crematorium Oak Chapel on Friday 17th July 2026 at midday.

The family kindly requests no flowers at the funeral. Donations in memory of Max may be made to The Alzheimer's Society these may be placed in the retiring collection after the service, given online at www.alexanderburn.com or sent care of: Alexander Burn Funeral Directors, 22 Church Road, Bishop's Cleeve, Cheltenham, GL52 8LR. It has been such a pleasure to have known you Max for over 20 years, spending so many wonderful summers with you and Jan in Madeira.
We will continue to remember those times together every time we go to Madeira. Rest in peace Max.
